Sustainability
At Milu sustainability is not a statement, it is a discipline by default.
Each piece from Milu is made from surplus fabric sourced directly from the world's leading luxury fashion houses — the LVMH Group.
By working exclusively with rescued luxury fabric, we eliminate the need for new production, reduce textile waste at its source, and ensure that every piece carries the quality of a luxury house to the fraction of its price and the integrity of its origin.
Our production takes place in micro factories and ateliers in Sweden, which allows for shorter delivery chains and more control versus industry standards.
Every year, the fashion industry discards 92 million tonnes of textile — of which half is pre-production — that's the weight of about 250,000 blue whales (the heaviest animal to have ever existed). Less than 13% is ever recycled. We started there.
